Something I wanted for a long time when I lived in Leicester was a central place to find out about things that were going on. Somewhere I could look when I knew I had a free evening and wanted to get out of the house and find things I wouldn’t otherwise know about. I finally felt in a place where I could build that in a workable, low maintenance way – so I’ve put together Leicester Events.

It lists everything its possible for me to automatically pull in from across Leicester’s major venues, allows moderated user submission of events, and also compiles a bi-weekly mail out to subscribers so they remember it exists.

I’m really pleased with how its turned out and am open to thoughts and feedback about how we can make it even better for the city.
